Sneak Peek Lots of Bots

Hello Amigas! This is one of the new stamp sets in the catty. I love these robots and I bet Joaquin will too...This is my first attempt at this magic card...it was a little time consuming the first time around but it got easier with the more cards I made. I am going to use this technique with Joaquin's 1st birthday invites...His birthday is in September...I also think instead of the Certainly Celery ribbon at the bottom maybe I will do Bermuda Bay. What do you think? I don't want it to be too busy with the background and then the polka dot ribbon. On another note...Today is another beautiful day...Solimar and my two godsons Gabriell and Aramis will be watching the new movie with Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato at my house tonight. The movie is called Princess Protection Program...As you remember this is the reason Solimar wanted that $4.00 magazine...which she takes and reads everywhere. Also wanted to mention that June 30 is the LAST CHANCE for you to order a BIG SHOT STARTER KIT as this won't be available in the new catty...All items will be available seperately...

Upsy Daisy

Hello Amigas! I woke up with a horrible migraine! I can't really take anything as I am still nursing Joaquin. And of course the little ones don't understand that I don't feel well. I started to make dinner but just couldn't finish so I went to the supermarket to buy a baked chicken as we were paying Solimar asked me to buy a magazine...I said no. She said "why?" So I told her I couldn't buy her a $4.00 magazine when she doesn't even know who is on the cover. So of course my smarty pants daughter says but Mama, that's Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato." OF COURSE I BOUGHT THE MAGAZINE. I was so surprised that she new the girls on the cover as I don't let Solimar watch but about an hour of TV a day. Anywho...This joy fold card I made for a couple of ladies that I granted their wishes over at SUDEMOONLY. I am glad this set did not retire...

Art All Night by Solimar and Aramis

So here they are...The first picture is the one my husband submitted. He spray painted on canvas...Can you tell who the three are in his art. The next pic is of a man Solimar asked to see her art thru the 3-D glasses...She waited about 20 minutes as people just walked pass her artwork she was so sad...and she would not leave until someone saw it so she went up to this guy and said "Can you look at my picture?" He was so NICE and so was his wife...They really made her feel SPECIAL. The next photo is her standing PROUD with her artwork. When you where the glasses the Red and Yellow in the picture POP UP...She drew it with 3-D chalk...its really cool...

Designer Series Paper Swap

GREAT WAY to display the DSP papers (thanks to Angie Anderson for the idea) not to mention showing off the Big Shot Top Note using the Quilt Technique. There are 17 DSPs not including the tag one and we would need 17 participants. You will make twelve 1-1/4" squares showing all the patterns for their assigned DSP and place them in a small envelope. Each participant will make 17 +1 (for hostess, that's me). Please see attached pic to see THE AWESOME IDEA Angi came up with to Display her DSP...These are the ones that I have available: Nouveau Chic, Autumn Traditions, Kaleidoscope, Holiday Lounge, Jackpot, Flock Together, Thoroughly Modern, Storybook Specialty, To the Nines Specialty

Flowers are a Beautiful Thing!

Hola Amigas. I have been quite busy as you can imagine. Its a yucky day to day. Today Aramis (my hubby), Solimar (you know that is my daughter) and I submitted artwork to Art All Night. Aramis spray painted his image onto canvas. Solimar drew a picture with 3-D chalk and I of course submitted cards I created. The only person selling his work is Aramis. Solimar submitted a piece last year. She drew a picture of us on copper foil...VERY COOL. Aramis has actually been featured in alot of galleries as he is very talented...I will submit pictures of their artwork later tonight or tomorrow. This card I made for Debra, a new friend at SUDEMOONLY not to be confused with SUDEMOSONLY. This is a demonstrator group in both the US and Canada who enjoy the opportunity to brighten another demo's day! The pay-it-forward, generous nature of this group is addicting! We grant wishes to one another for both SU! and Non-SU! items, share in monthly card swaps, and even play games and send one another secret sister packages 4-5 times each year. Well anywho...I granted Debra Always Artichoke ribbon...and this the card I sent with her wish.

RECIPE: ALL SU
Paper: Basic Black, Always Artichoke, Rose Red, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Stamp: Together Forever, Forever Flowers wheel
Accessories: Big Shot, Top Note Die, Brads, Markers (Rose Red, Positively Pink, Old Olive)

Pre-School Graduation

Pre-K here I come! Solimar graduated from pre-school. YEAH! My little one is growing up. They had an ice cream social in her classroom to celebrate their graduation. The first and second pictures are obviously Solimar. The second is her receiving her diploma and the third and fourth are her teachers Miss Stephanie and Mrs. Lisa. She will have the same teachers next year...It was cute and my hubby was even able to make it. He works about and 1 hour away give her take and that day of all days he was in Camden further away as a guest speaker or giving a speech anyways he made it and Solimar was SO HAPPY. Afterwards we went out to eat to the same restaurant we went to after her 1st day of class. On a sadder note: Solimar was diagnosed with asthma and is now on a nebulizer 3 times a day...Not like I needed to add more to my already stressful days. It is so sad to see her with the face mask...

So Tweet

I made this adorable Birdhouse using Gretchen Barron's tutorial. You can purchase this one and others for just $5.00. I will show you tomorrow the cute cards that fit inside. I made 4 of these. 2 are going to my daughter's preschool teachers. I can't believe next week is the last week of school. Another goes to my friend Eve (Dr. Sachs my husband would say). And of course the other is for me. Yes that is right for me! I unfortunately did not have all the materials that this project called for so I improvised...For example the green middles of the flowers are suppose to be Kiwi Kiss corduroy buttons but I didnt have any so I used the Kiwi Kiss paper in the Good Morning Sunshine DSP to make the circle and then I glued on to the chipboard circle to give it dimension....I need to buy corduroy buttons! You can have one TOO! Just place a $50.00 order with me in July and you'll receive this cute birdhouse and 4 matching cards...Colors may vary.

This is a good way to use up your retired DSP and to showcase NEW DSP. Wait to you see the NEW DSP in the NEW catty. Do you like to read? What are some of your favorite books and authors? I made ALOT of these bookmarks for my hubby's Rutgers University Future Scholars. They are Real Red and have RFS on them...will post those later.

A Pinch to Grow an Inch

This a pretty cool card. I learned this technique from Dawn. She has ALOT of video tutorials and I am trying to learn how to do many. The inside panel hosts a "window" and when placed on either side of the inside of the card it shows either a message or picture...The possibilities are endless as for the shape of the window and images...
I highlighted the pics with a white gel pen...

RECIPE: ALL SU
Paper: Green Galore
Ink: Classic Black
Stamp: Crab & Company (retired)
Accessories: White Gel Pen, 1 1/4 square punch

Snappy Birthday

Love this Explosion Card...It opens up wider but for pic purposes I didn't open it all the way. How can they retire such a cute set?I didn't know where to put the greeting so I made Mr. Crabby hold it. Solimar and I made this for my FAV BIL. Abel is married to my FAV SIL. On a crazier note. My baby Joaquin fell out of his crib...Can you say heart attack? He is okay but you better believe I took him to the ER. I put him in his crib to get his bath ready and maybe 2 minutes later I hear this HUGE bang. He didn't reaction at first and then he wailed for about 1 minute then he wanted to go to sleep. CRAZY? He is okay. Thank GOD! Not one bump or scratch...NOTHING! Solimar, my poor baby! We had to change her allergy meds as her face as been swollen and broke out in bumps since Friday. Man my little ones and I can't catch a break!

RECIPE: ALL SU
Paper: Old Olive, Whisper White, Pacific Point, Summer Sun, DSP
Ink: Stazon, Pacific Point
