Add Sparkle

Hola Amigas! This week the LNS Challenge is Add Sparkle. We can easily do that with Stampin' UP!s Glimmer Paper. I have been holding a Kids Card Class once a month and this is one of the cards they made in November. Would you like to come to an Adult class? or have a child(ren) that would like to attend the kids class. Just send me an email atouchof_sol @yahoo.com I would love to have you and your child(ren) join. So have you decorated yet? I have both trees up and They are both decorated but we will continue to add more everyday in December. If you know me for the past 12 years I have decorated 2-3 trees in my home and have NEVER EVER repeated the ornaments (I know I am crazy) but this year I have only repeated one. The Black and White tree...I LOVE IT! Except that this year we will add count down to Christmas ornaments. The other tree is all new ornaments. We decided this year that we would make every single ornament. It's been fun really fun and we have so much more to add. We even made a chain garland.
Here are two of the ornaments they made. They each filled the ornament with snow and then drew themselves as snowmen. Aramis and I also have one but a bigger ornament.
Recipe: Stampin' UP! (Santa Card)

Gently Falling

Hola Amigas. I had the pleasure of teaching two lovely ladies 4 techniques on Tuesday. Here is one of the cards that we made. This one uses the watercolor crayon technique. I forgot how fun it was to use the crayons. Here are quick instructions. Choose your stamp. Here I used Gently Falling. Wet your stamp using an Aqua Painter. Pick about three colors. Here I choose More, Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Rose Red. Color your wet stamp with each color starting with the lightest color first. When your happy with color saturation stamp on your cardstock or watercolor paper. Once it is dried use the line imaged stamp to stamp over the solid image. Here I did so in Early Espresso. Over the next couple of days I will show you the other cards we made. If you would like to take a class with me to learn this technique and more or need the products to create this card please feel free to email me. SUPPLIES: ALL STAMPIN' UP!
Paper: Early Espresso, More Mustard, Pool Party, Very Vanilla
Ink: Early Espresso
Stamp(s): Gently Falling, Hand-Penned Holidays (retired)
Accessories: Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Aqua Painter, Neutrals Brads

Purple is her fave color

Hola Amigas! Yesterday was Purple Day. We asked the students to wear something purple, their teacher's favorite color. The could have worn a purple shirt, pants, earrings, accessories, hat, freckles, spray painted hair...You Get the Point! Tara and I (we are the room moms) presented her with a bouquet of purple flowers along with a book Tara put together called What I Like Best about Mrs. Schultz. We loved reading all the different answers...On PURPLE day I made her this canvas with the melting crayon technique...I began to add her name but it was too long. I have to come up with an alternative.
Although as is LOOKS GOOD TOO!
Here is the note card set for PURPLE day.

Flowers, Flowers, Flowers

Hola Amigas! Tuesday we asked the students to bring in a flower for their teacher. They could buy one, bring it from their garden, color one, make one, etc. She received alot of different ones. ALL BEAUTIFUL! Solimar is allergic to flowers (of course). So she asked me to make her flowers. I made a Daisy Bouquet.

Apple Day

Hola Amigas. WOW! It's been along time since I have shared with all of you! Believe me I have been truly busy creating. But also not well. Well this week is Teacher's Appreciation Day. We are appreciating Solimar's teacher using all the ideas from the book Teacher's Appreciation Day (GREAT BOOK and FUNNY). So Monday was Apple Day. The students were asked to bring her an apple. She received the first and said Thank You but then they just kept coming...before you know it she has about 20 apples on her desk...She thought it was funny! Solimar is allergic to apples so we made one from yarn.
This week I am also gifting her a note card set to go with the them of the day. So here is the one she received Monday.
