Rustic Rooster
Hola Amigas! This is the bridal shower invite I am making for one of my really CLOSE friends Audrey. I love the way the Chicken Wire BG came out I embossed it with Silver EP. She and the bride both love the way it came out and now the bride-to-be Jen, would like me to make her wedding invitations! YEAH! She chose a beachy theme...So I am in the process of looking for Summer by the Sea and Stipple Shells. On another note I am EXTREMELY EXHAUSTED. Joaquin being sick is really taking a toll on me physically and mentally. Hope he gets better soon. I had a Bridal Shower to go to this weekend for my BF Karitsa but I won't be able to make it with Joaquin so sick. He has a pneumonia and bronchitis...not sure if I mentioned that...Well off to get some much needed rest before he is up again...
RECIPE: ALL SUPaper: Tangerine Tango (retired), Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango DSP (retired)
Ink: Melon Mambo, Versamark

Hola Amigas! These invites are the reason I have not posted in a few short days...My best friend Kari is getting married! WooHoo! These pics do the invites no justice. I also made the RSVP to match. I couldnt find envelopes for the invite or RSVP that matched our SU Very Vanilla...so of course I made them myself...What do you think?

Book Giveaway
I am hosting a BOOK GIVEAWAY. I am giving this book away to 5 lucky winners. This book will make a great GIFT for that special teenage girl in your life and it MAKES a great read for us MOMS!. Solimar will be 15 before you know it. I cant wait to get my hands on this book. All you have to do to enter is leave me a comment on this post. I will pick a winner on August 21. GOOD LUCK! I dont want to spoil the novel but here is a short description...
All Ana Ruiz wanted was to have a traditional quinceañera for her daughter, Carmen. She wanted a nice way to mark this milestone year in her daughter's life. But Carmen was not interested in celebrating. Hurt and bitter over her father Esteban's departure, she blamed Ana for destroying their happy family, as did everyone else. A good man is hard to find, especially at your age Ana was told. Why not forgive his one indiscretion? Despite everything, Ana didn't want to tarnish Carmen's childlike devotion to her beloved father. But Ana knows that growing up sometimes means facing hard truths. In the end, Ana discovers that if she's going to teach Carmen anything about what it means to be a woman, it will take more than simply a fancy party to do it...
"Belinda Acosta's Damas, Dramas, and Ana Ruiz delivers all its title promises and more: it's a book about damas of all ages, from teenage girls to the struggling mothers of those teenage girls; it's packed with drama so you don't want to stop reading; it's a novel that deeply and honestly tells the story of Ana Ruiz, her own coming of age as a woman and as a mother. Belinda Acosta is up to all of the challenges of such a rich panorama of characters and events. She's sassy, she's smart, she makes it look easy! But it takes a lot of hard work and a pile of talent to write such an engaging, touching book. A wonderful quinceañera of a novel!" --- Julia Alvarez, author of Once Upon a Quinceañera: Coming of Age in the USA and Return to Sender

Refill Extravaganza
So every morning after breakfast we go for a 3 mile walk. Today half way thru our walk it starts pouring. So Joaquin and Solimar decided to play with my ink refills. Can you tell that SU makes quality CHILD PROOF products. My house looks like Toys R US and what do they choose to play with anything but age appropriate toys.

Holiday Mini Sneak Peek
These are Sizzix dies from the new Holiday Mini...Stampin UP has partnered with Build A Bear
to produce the first-ever collection of paper-crafting products featuring the Build A Bear Workshop brand. The exclusively designed collection includes stamp sets, Designer Series papers and Sizzix dies. I made this tin for Solimar. I laminated the die cuts and then added magnets on the back of them....She has both a boy and girl. Provides HOURS of fun especially in the car because the pieces won't fall. Is it CUTE? The Holiday Mini starts September 1st. I will have more samples with the stamp sets and sizzix dies. I am also offering to my customers a tin similar to this with a $50.00 order (before taxes and shipping). You can pick either the boy or the girl. If you order $100.00 I will make you two sets (2 boys or 2 girls or 1 boy and 1 girl). Contact me today. I am also selling these as favors for either a Birthday Girl or Boy or for your guests...

Memory Making Crafts
I found this great website for alot of different types of products. I was looking for an alternative adhesive as I am making ALOT of wedding invitations, birthday invitations, etc. and my snail was taken a beaten not to mention how many refills I have been going thru. So after asking around many mentioned the ATG Gun and also the Glue Glider Pro. I went with the Glue Glider Pro from Memory Making Crafts. It has the same QUALITY as an ATG GUN but its less expensive. Cindy, the owner, is an amazing person. I emailed her about a shipping question and she replied SUPER FAST! She also has a yahoo group that she created to talk about products, scrapbooking, fun, games, giveaways, swaps and new releases. You can join here http://groups.yahoo.com/group/memorymakingcrafts/join
