SAH 129 Inspiration Challenge

Hola Amigas! What do you think about Becky's Inspiration photo. Here is what I think of her photo...I am at the beach in Puerto Rico drinking some cold iced tea or a beverage of my choice...I can feel the sand at my feet the warm sun on my skin and every once in awhile the spray of the ocean on my face...THEN I hear to little monsters coming from behind SCREAMING MAMA MAMA and then I wake up and the bubble POPS! Oh well! So let's begin!
I see Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla I also see the beautiful shells...I like the back one and it reminds me of Becky's card where she used Bravo Burgandy and Pretty in Pink.
So these are the products I will work with...Give or take.
and here is Senor Asqueroso playing with my Linen Thread...On your mark, get set GO!
I am going to start with Crumb Cake as my base and keep layering.
My next layer will be Bravo Burgandy.and then I layered Bridesmaid DSP (which I will color in a second with Pretty in Pink) and then my image will be stamped on Very Vanilla...Where did the time go??? How do I go from 10 minutes to this just by layering and cutting cardstock..and of course Senor Asqueroso is taunting me...Maybe I should tie that linen thread ALL around him...tee hee
I will be using Hostess Level 1 stamp set Because I Care..It's a BEAUTIFUL stamp set...You know you want it so call me or email me and place an order...2 minutes 28 seconds left...
This is what took the rest of my time...I haven't mounted all my clear mounts in this set and I wanted to use the sentiment because I care...
TIME's UP! Here you see I colored my DSP with Pretty in Pink and I shaded the middle of the flowers with Pretty in Pink as well.
TaDa! It is such an AWESOME feeling when you get to create your own sketch...Yes this came from my pretty little head...LOVE IT! I used both Old Olive and Bravo Burgandy ink pads with my blender pen to color in the flowers and the stem...
RECIPE: ALL STAMPIN' UP!
Paper: Crumb Cake (formerly known as Kraft), Bravo Burgandy, Bridesmaid DSP (retired), Very Vanilla
Ribbon: Linen Thread
Stamp: Because I Care (Hostess Level 1 2010-2011)
Ink: Stazon Black, Bravo Burgandy, Pretty In Pink
Accessories: Brayer, Modern Label Punch, Blender Pen, Pretty in Pink and Bravo Burgandy Markers, Word Window Punch, Cutter Kit (distressing)

Stamp A Holics 125-Inspiration Challenge

Hola Amigas! How are you? What a BEAUTIFUL week? I have been SUPER busy...I am STILL working on my sister's wedding invitations and POTTY TRAINING Joaquin...WHEW! Solimar was FULLY trained at 18 months...Joaquin NOT SO MUCH! But he is getting it...Today's challenge is brought to us by Nancy Dawson. She gave us an inspiration challenge.
Solimar's room has the same colors...Pixie Pink, Certainly Celery, Tempting Turquoise and she has a mixture of purples...So I choose to work with Certainly Celery (a card is not a card without some GREEN), Pixie Pink and Orchid Oppulence.
And there is Señor Asqueroso...Not to HAPPY because I out stickers over his mouth. He was being NASTY. He said I wasn't going to win because I was too undecisive...and although that is VERY TRUE he needs to be more supportive. SI?
Well I saw the flowers on the wall and thought HMMM maybe the scallop circles may work...Only a SHORT amount of time will tell. Does it work....Does it not work...Not sure I am feeling this sketch...
Maybe three instead of four...
How about some pretty flower brads...AYE NO...It's not working...Do you hear Mr. I told you so in the background...
Okay...let's changing it up and add layers...and let me look for a stamp set...Dios, mio...the time is going TOO FAST.
I love our new clear mount Stamp option. It's the same GREAT quality you've grown to LOVE. But the storing option is now thinner...To me that is important because I had my own stamp room but I had to give it to Joaquin otherwise he would be sleeping in the hallway...I didn't mind this option but well my hubby didn't...So now how to make the flowers PRETTY!
I choose to use my watercolor pencils...and even though it seems I have 1 minute and 36 seconds left...well I didn't make it I had to go back for shading and then the card was too FLAT so I had to take it apart and distess it a little...and her you go...
RECIPE: ALL STAMPIN UP
Paper: Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Pixie Pink, Orchid Oppulence
Ribbon: Certainly Celery (retired)
Stamp: Elements of Style (Summer Mini 2010)
Ink: Black Stazon
Accessories: Watercolor pencils

SAH 121 Inspiration Challenge

Hola Amigas. This week the Stamp A Holics have an Inspiration Challenge using the Piet 1 photo above. So what do I see...I see the beautiful frilly pillow, pacific point curtains, tempting turquoise pillow, kraft sofa...and so MUCH more. So here we go...
I think I am going to start with Pacific Point and some coordinating DSP.
Here I started layering...
Remake frilly pillow...

Not sure I am feeling this card at all...I tried sentiments...not working...
Covered this cute little bird with DSP...
DEFINITELY wrong DSP pattern...UGH! and of course Mr. Ticker is YELLING at me...
Aye Dios Mio...Back to the drawing board...
I think I am going to focus on the pinks I see...I chose Pink Passion.
Started layering...Looks Good! HMM! What stamp set??? Well I already have Wedding Sweet out because of my sister's wedding invites so maybe I can make her a sample Thank You card...
I LIKE the way it came out...It's not a Thank You card but, cool all the same. I colored the ribbon with my Pink Passion marker...I got this idea from Carole'Anne as she is FAMOUS for this...But man was it messy...definately has to be last on your list or you have ink all over your card...
RECIPE: ALL STAMPIN UP
Paper: Pacific Point, Whisper White, Pink Passion
Ink: Pink Passion
Stamp: Wedding Sweet
Ribbon: White Organza
Accessories: Chipboard, Scallop Oval punch, Oval punch, ice rhinestone brad, scallop circle punch
