Serene Snowflakes...

Hola Amigas! Today we are going to meet Santa (the NY Macy's Day Santa) at Rutgers University. He came to visit an event my hubby was giving for his program. I made the following for a basket. There was quite a few baskets that attendees got to put tickets in to win them. I was happy to see alot of tickets in my bucket.
I made the a box of the Season's Greeting cards. On the card I used the technique Dazzling Diamond Dust. I used the technique on the Nugget Tin Band as well as the Bookmarks.
Had I had more time to put something together I definitely would have added more.

Gimme A Break (GAB)-Finally Friday Challenge

Hola Amigas! New Design Team, New Challenges. Please go to Gimme A Break to see challenges posted on Manic Mondays and Finally Fridays. Today's challenge is to add SPARKLE. Considering we like all the BLING BLING that Stampin UP offers that's an easy take.
Here is my take. I covered the snowflake in Dazzling Diamonds.
I might have to add a sentiment to the hat!?
So how many of you went out before sunrise this morning? NOT ME! Hope you will play with me today and add SPARKLE. Please upload here.

Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red

Stamp A Holics 124-Cottage Wall

Hola Amigas...Today's sketch comes from DT Cynthia...I hope you will play along with the Stamp A Holics...I have a new timer his name is Señor Asqueroso (Mr. Nasty-TY Carole'Anne and Sage). Okay so let's begin...
I want to use Cottage Wall..It's beautiful DSP...The coordinating colors are Old Olive, Orchid Oppulence (soon to be retired) and Rich Razzleberry. Here is my Ceative Chaos...
I am going to start by deciding which color will be my base either Old Olive or Rich Razzleberry and then I am going to use my Big Shot to die cut the Top Note die and the Scallop Oval Frame.
Already time is moving to fast...Do you see Señor Asqueroso's tatoo...He had his woman's name tattooed across his forhead...Que LOCO! He will probably have a new squeeze next week.I am not liking the Scallop Oval Frame for this particular project...So out it goes... I do like the Top Note but not on top of the Old Olive and its going to have to have a layer of some sort on it...
I think I am going with Rich Razzleberry base and Orchid Oppulence DSP for second layer and then I die cut an Old Olive Top Note. The Yo Yo Yellow is haunting me...It's for Solimar's graduation invites but I haven't finished yet...
Okay now for the accents to my card...I knew when I saw the sketch I wanted to make the scallop circle flower I made in a past post...The only thing is that I dont have that much time and well it takes to long...but I am going to do it anyway...
Okay like I said it took to long and the Señor Asqueroso is LOL and ROFL..He is so NASTY. So I opted for my second flower to still use the scallop circle punch but to do the flowers that you punch out 6-10 and scrunch them...
and I went over 19 minutes...Ay Dios Mio...But I blame it on the 3D flowers...technically when we have a 3D challenge we have 30 minutes so technically I made it with seconds to spare...Do you think this argument will hold up in a Court of Justice? Yeah, me neither...I tried...
RECIPE: ALL STAMPIN UP
Paper: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Cottage Wall DSP, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Stamp Set: Kind & Caring Thoughts
Accessories: Big Shot, Top Note Die, Scallop Circle Punch, Rhinestone Brads, Build a Brad

Joaquin with pneumonia, then ear infection and lastly virus...Solimar with her asthma...Pobrecita. Its really BAD. Well here I have some friends for you to meet. I made the FrankenBOY and FrankenGIRL for my godson Gabriell's classroom. He was doing a diorama..REMEMBER THOSE! of a Frankenstein lab and I thought how cute to accompany his project with matching goody bags (inspired by Gretchen Barron)...and then of course his brother and my other godson Aramis wanted bags so I made him the Ghosts...Except that in order for him to receive his goody bags he had to make me a PomPom frog...Well MORE GOOD NEWS! well for me anyways...I met Spanish demonstrators for the first time...They are truly talented group of women...They are also currently running a tour. Designer Series Paper Swap

GREAT WAY to display the DSP papers (thanks to Angie Anderson for the idea) not to mention showing off the Big Shot Top Note using the Quilt Technique. There are 17 DSPs not including the tag one and we would need 17 participants. You will make twelve 1-1/4" squares showing all the patterns for their assigned DSP and place them in a small envelope. Each participant will make 17 +1 (for hostess, that's me). Please see attached pic to see THE AWESOME IDEA Angi came up with to Display her DSP...These are the ones that I have available: Nouveau Chic, Autumn Traditions, Kaleidoscope, Holiday Lounge, Jackpot, Flock Together, Thoroughly Modern, Storybook Specialty, To the Nines Specialty

Flowers are a Beautiful Thing!

Hola Amigas. I have been quite busy as you can imagine. Its a yucky day to day. Today Aramis (my hubby), Solimar (you know that is my daughter) and I submitted artwork to Art All Night. Aramis spray painted his image onto canvas. Solimar drew a picture with 3-D chalk and I of course submitted cards I created. The only person selling his work is Aramis. Solimar submitted a piece last year. She drew a picture of us on copper foil...VERY COOL. Aramis has actually been featured in alot of galleries as he is very talented...I will submit pictures of their artwork later tonight or tomorrow. This card I made for Debra, a new friend at SUDEMOONLY not to be confused with SUDEMOSONLY. This is a demonstrator group in both the US and Canada who enjoy the opportunity to brighten another demo's day! The pay-it-forward, generous nature of this group is addicting! We grant wishes to one another for both SU! and Non-SU! items, share in monthly card swaps, and even play games and send one another secret sister packages 4-5 times each year. Well anywho...I granted Debra Always Artichoke ribbon...and this the card I sent with her wish.

RECIPE: ALL SU
Paper: Basic Black, Always Artichoke, Rose Red, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Stamp: Together Forever, Forever Flowers wheel
Accessories: Big Shot, Top Note Die, Brads, Markers (Rose Red, Positively Pink, Old Olive)

So Tweet

I made this adorable Birdhouse using Gretchen Barron's tutorial. You can purchase this one and others for just $5.00. I will show you tomorrow the cute cards that fit inside. I made 4 of these. 2 are going to my daughter's preschool teachers. I can't believe next week is the last week of school. Another goes to my friend Eve (Dr. Sachs my husband would say). And of course the other is for me. Yes that is right for me! I unfortunately did not have all the materials that this project called for so I improvised...For example the green middles of the flowers are suppose to be Kiwi Kiss corduroy buttons but I didnt have any so I used the Kiwi Kiss paper in the Good Morning Sunshine DSP to make the circle and then I glued on to the chipboard circle to give it dimension....I need to buy corduroy buttons! You can have one TOO! Just place a $50.00 order with me in July and you'll receive this cute birdhouse and 4 matching cards...Colors may vary.

RECIPE: ALL SU
Paper: Summer Sun, Chocolate Chip, Pacific Point, Good Morning Sunshine DSP, Old Olive
Ink: Chocolate Chip (sponged on roof, sponged on little bird and big bird feet)
Accessories: Scallop punch, Circle Scissor Plus, Dimensionals, Sponge Daubers, Rhinestone Brads, Summer Sun corduroy button, Big Shot, Top Note Die, On Board So Tweet chipboard, Velcro (to close the roof top), Scallop Circle Die, Sanding Block, Anywhere Glue Stick, Sticky Strip

Top Note Quilt Card

I finally jumped the bandwagon and made a Quilt Card. I used Good Morning Sunshine...Love this DSP. This is one of the cards that is in the Card Box below. On a different note. Solimar had her Scratch test yesterday and the only allergy she MAY HAVE outgrown is milk. Her Peanut/Treenut allergy went up...And after a little over a week of not being on her meds she is back on them and is feeling really GOOD to play outside with no incident...

RECIPE: ALL SU
Paper: Good Morning Sunshine DSP, Summer Sun, Old Olive
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Stamp: Oval All (Occassions Mini)
Ribbon: Chocolate Chip Grosgrain
Accessories: Scallop Punch (Occassions Mini), Top Note Die, Big Shot, Stampin Dimensionals
